Dr. Jennifer Zeisz is a licensed clinical psychologist who has over 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from DePaul University in 1997. Her training and experience has been in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings where she focused on children and adolescents with multiple risk-factors.
Jennifer completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Child Study Center in Chicago where she worked on a multidisciplinary team that assessed infants and children who had experienced institutionalized care, prenatal exposure, foster placement, and adoption. Since 2001, she has developed a thriving private practice in Asheville, North Carolina providing psychological assessments and therapeutic services.
She specializes in diagnostic and neuro-psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults in residential treatment and therapeutic wilderness settings. She has expertise in the assessment of a wide range of concerns including developmental trauma, autism spectrum, and addictions. Jennifer has also lent her expertise to the development of residential therapeutic programs. In her free time, she takes advantage of the natural beauty of Western North Carolina by cycling, kayaking, and hiking with family, friends, and her beloved companion dog, Ruby.
